straight and its wood was used in the construction of Christ's cross.
After Christ was crucified, he changed the tree to its current form,
short and twisted so that it was never used for a crucifixion again.
Its flowers were also changed to represent the crucifixion, four petals

thorns, and the berries, the color of Christ's blood.
